We now have a small flock of Icelandic sheep at Dragonfly Farm. Our new arrivals are named Tiny Tim and Mary. They are registered and previously lived at Four Seasons Farm. We are looking forward to our new wooly adventure. We are expecting some fine fleeces for hand spinning this fall. Tiny Tim and Mary join our existing two Icelandic ewes Socks and Mittens. Here are few photos of our new arrivals:

 Swarm of Honeybees Our bees decided to swarm in May. Honeybees swarm when the hive becomes too crowded.

Many people have heard of "chicken tractors"; portable pens that are used to raise meat chickens. Turkey tractors are a bit more uncommon.

The flowers are in bloom here at the farm. We leave some of the fields fallow to allow the plants to recover from grazing. One of the beautiful side effects of this is that the wildflowers get a chance to bloom.

One of our spring projects was to raise a flock of geese for training herding dogs. We chose Toulouse Geese.

Our broody hen successfully incubated her eggs. We have three new little fluffy chicks foraging at Dragonfly Farm.
